I read through most of the topic OMFG AA and can understand both sides of the argument. I am an infantry man that hates getting bombed and I do feel the air vehicles were somewhat overpowered. I have 50 hours in air vehicles though and do enjoy that aspect of the game and feel that the patch has gone overboard in an attempt to even the playing feild. I suppose it will take another patch yet and maybe more after that to finally balance out the two types of gameplay...ie air and land. Overall the topic of this thread is not about whether the new patch is good or not.
The topic of this thread has to do with a reasonable movement towards equalizing the playing field (infantry/air) in making AA like Arty/UAV/Scan in the sence that they could get destroyed rather than spawn. Engineers would get a point for fixing it and it would make it less easy for someone not playing an engineer kit to just happen upon a healthy AA and easily take out an air vehicle. This could create a more appealing engineer kit which would be nice for the infantry types and it would also make things slightly easier on the jets because places where the AA hadn't been fixed would be less of a threat.
Just an idea...Obviously I haven't thought it through that much and I will likely get flamed for it.
