I guess we all knew this was coming.

When, if it all, will she use her common sense at some point to just call it a day?

Since she recently loaned her campaign another few million the word in the DC area is that she's running to raise money to pay off debts (rumored to be somewhere in the range of 25 mil). She's essentially asking the rubes to pitch in for her financial mismanagement.

I've also heard that her campaign wants the Obama camp to pay off her debts THEN she'll withdraw.

EDIT: To Cam's post...lawlz.

And I add, she really needed to get rid of that sack of shit Mark Penn. She's paying him millions for bullshit polling and "advice" and has still retained his services after the whole Colombia lobbying brouhaha. Bad judgment.

Yep, she continued to loan herself more money to her campaign, and hasn't showed one sign of backing down. But that last thing you mentioned about Obama is pretty crazy, how would he agree to that?

Well, sometimes in years past the winners of primary contests will chip in to help the debts of the loser as a kind of goodwill gesture, but usually that's AFTER the other person concedes and it's purely the prerogative of the winner. I haven't ever heard of another campaign trying to strong arm the presumptive winner by using debt payment as a bludgeon.

Again, this is rumored. But...after all we've seen out of the Clintaan Death March I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they were up to extortion.

If I were Obama, I'd do it.  Can you imagine the bragging rights?  If Hillary actually lets him do that, it will end her career.  The Clintons will be a laughing stock.

When Americans as a whole just give up at everything.

They are a laughingstock.

If disaffected Billary voters are bitter enough to hold a grudge McCain may win after all.

That is why she hasn't been dumped en masse yet.

Wright screwed Obama.

Wright definitely did, but if you think about it...  If Obama pays off Hillary to drop out, all of her support will feel betrayed by her, and they'll likely rally behind Obama out of spite.

It's a perfect play for Obama, but Hillary would be the sacrificial lamb (or bitch for that matter).

But if that did happen, wouldn't that make Obama look more like a dirt bag who will do anything to get the nomination (not that most politician's aren't already dirt bag's).

It depends on how he spins it...  If he shows it to be something where Clinton was desperately in need of funds, he could make himself out to be someone with dignity helping out a pathetic opponent.

He could say something like...

"While I've already shown myself to be the candidate for the people, it would appear my opponent only stayed in the race to clear some debt.  For the sake of my party and this country, I filled Senator Clinton's request for paying off her campaign debt, but I really wish she could've conceded with some dignity left."
