Well, I believe my video card has been getting a little toasty while playing games, so I'd like to monitor it in-game. I have Rivatuner installed, so I setup the OSD with the Rivatuner Statistics Server (RTSS). Now, it works dandy, but X-fire doesn't work at all while this is on. I believe it is because it is hooking into the game the same way X-fire does.

Now, is there a way around this? I've Googled for at least 20 minutes and didn't find a solution.

Is there another way to monitor my GPU temps in-game (NOT ATi Tools and NOT ATi Tray Tools, neither work)?

Thanks.

You can always use a program like Everest or nTune to log your temperatures and then look at them when you're done playing... but you won't be able to see them in-game.

Everest doesn't capture temps for me.

I have an ATi card, and nTune is terrible.

But thanks anyway.

Yes, in the Charts tab.

Thanks but I don't really want logging, I wanna be able to just look up and see.

I guess I'll just live without XFire for a week or so and make sure it doesn't overheat. After cleaning out the heatsink and fixing some case fans, it doesn't hit over 60*C (used to be pretty close to 90*C ).

Oh well, thanks anyway.

Xfire won't work with any other program that puts a layer over games; Not with Fraps, not with RivaTuner.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
