The government has a new approach to border enforcement. Instead of just focusing on people who are entering the country illegally, the Los Angeles Times says federal agents are also arresting undocumented foreigners who are trying to leave the United States.

I know some think this is an overblown problem.
I know some think America is getting it's just desserts.

But the fact remains that there is no bigger issue facing America than the illegal aliens from Mexico issue.

Not that there aren't illegal aliens from China, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Armenia ( I have met illegal aliens from all these countries ), it's that the people from those countries do not represent half the menace that the ones from Mexico.

Why, you say?

Shear numbers.
Lack of desire to be citizens ( they think they already are ).
Total ignorance and disrespect for the law.

I don't care what you say Scorpian, I'm not hear to debate this issue with you, I am doing one micro small part in getting people aware. I will not stop making threads about illegal aliens from Mexico, ever, until the issue is dealt with, or I get banned.

You are also from the U.K. , which has it's own very large illegal immigration issue. So frankly, these threads aren't made with you in mind. You might even consider the fact that I find your opinion on this matter to be irrelevant. Feel free to post whatever you want, and state your views. Just know I rank you up there with Rammunition.

Agree completely on all fronts. The disrespect from the law comes from the fact that they've willing placed themselves in a desperate situation. I also know a 50 year old lady who was robbed by an illegal, who repeatly raped her over a few days, and beat her enough to leave her for dead. She's ok now, but now is a shut in. I'm usually besides myself for a few days after visiting with her...I cannot get her to leave her house.

Then on top of that, there's the expectations that the some of the benefits, like public safety and medical care, should be provided without having to any sort of payment at all.

But from the economic standpoint: Illegals do add to the economy, but not as much as someone who is playing within the rules would. And that blows.

And from the health standpoint: healthcare in Mexico isn't at the same level as it is in the US. So living near the border puts you at greater risk to contract contagious diseases then in other states. If you check out tuberculosis rates per state, you'll see a spike for the border states, due to the fact a person with TB has the potential to infect everyone they come in contact with on the way to wherever they end up.

Surely the fact the we, the UK, also have an illegal immigrant issue makes my opinions all the more pertinent?

And I just don't get your dislike of me. Is it that I question your opinion? Or merely that I have a different opinion to you?

It may surprise you, but I understand your point of view. Just as I understand the views of people in the UK who hold very similar views to you about our illegal immigrants.

I also don't deny that a problem exists.

But, once again, the problem is that our current systems, and attitudes, don't work. Border control doesn't work.

The planet as whole is more than capable of supporting mankind as a whole (as long as we don't get much bigger) - but in order to make that happen we are going to have to dissolve our borders and learn to think of 'home' as Earth, not our country, state, house, or whatever.

What say we all just stop shitting all over the place, and pissing all our planet-mates off?

And by that I mean everyone - I think we in the west bear a huge responsibility - we are in the position to make this 'utopia' a reality instead of sticking with our old, bad, habits - but, this is something that human-kind as a whole must 'take ownership of' - what could 6billion minds all working in the same direction achieve, compared to 6billion pulling in different directions?
