Good lord. Conduct yourself with a little dignity in the face of death, Hillary, please. Never has it been more obvious. When will she get the hint? CBS News reports that a top Clinton strategist has told Clinton that she absolutely cannot win the nomination.

Her Majesty is still stuck at Stage Three; her superdelegates are already on their way to Stage Five. She will be too, soon enough.

Obama has already made the shift. No sense in wasting his money on denial.

Hard to say.
She is willing to have the country suffer riots to get the job.

A  sane person would have announced today that it was over.
I say June 4th.
June 5th Hillary blames her loss on Bill and files for divorce.
June 6th her and Rosie Odonnell announce they are an item.

I actually went within a week. She is on the verge of being an outcast. Not to mention she is funding her own campaign now.

It's hard to tell, considering she hasn't dropped out yet. It is obvious that she doesn't care how much she damages Obama's campaign, so I'm not sure what could motivate her to stop.

Normally I would lean to the opinion that she is going to go till Denver. But even her most loyal supporters have abandoned her today. If she screws up the parties chances of getting the presidency she will be in permanent dire straights.

Her big chance to get the nom was Mar. 4 (OH & TX) and she didn't get the massive victory that would have allowed her to win it without a party damaging fight during the convention. It was apparent by Mar. 5 that she had no remote chance at the nom.

She'll carry on until her campaign sinks into bankruptcy. Now her surrogates are trying to move the goalposts again by saying that the total number of delegates a candidate needs is not indeed 2025 but now 2209 (all current contests plus the flawed MI and FL contests).
This morning, Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign made the case that the goal line needs to be moved further back and that the real "magic number" is 2,209. It also laid out a scenario that has the primary season ending on June 3 with neither major contender having reached the 2,209 mark. In that event, Clinton strategist Geoff Garin said, "the process" would continue -- a process that could see Clinton and Barack Obama taking their battle for the nomination to the floor of the party's late-August convention in Denver.

Here's what they're talking about:

• 2,025 is a tick above half the 4,048 delegates to the Democratic convention -- if the delegations from Florida and Michigan aren't counted.

• The delegates from Florida and Michigan aren't being included in the DNC's official count right now because those states held their primaries earlier than party rules allowed. The DNC says 2,025 is the minimum number of delegates needed to be the nominee. Obama is about 283 away from that number. Clinton is about 418 away.

• But the Clinton campaign, which trails Obama by about 135 delegates as of now, argues that the two states' results should be counted. Clinton "won" both, though Obama was not on the ballot in Michigan and none of the Democrats campaigned in either state.
This is preposterous because, as the article mentions, the Clinton campaign is trying to argue for seating the delegations as is even though Obama wasn't even on the ballot. Presumably she wants ALL the MI delegates even though, again as the article mentions, there's no way that is possible since Dems have proportional allocation of delegates.

She'll try to carry on, arguing for exception to rules she previously agreed upon like seating the MI and FL delegates as is instead of having fresh contests or halving the delegates and even trying to turn pledged delegates from states Obama won.

This guy wants 20 million dollars for his super delegate vote so he can register Mexican-Americans.

In a telephone interview, Ybarra said he plans to remain undecided in the tight contest until "someone shows me the money." When will he settle on a candidate? "Nobody showed me any money yet," he said.

He's not kidding. To Ybarra, a Sacramento, California, lawyer, the stakes are no less than winning the presidency in November. He predicted that as many as 1.3 million Mexican-Americans could be added to voter rolls in New Mexico, Colorado, Florida and other swing states, a potentially decisive edge for the eventual Democratic nominee.

With that investment of funds, Mexican-Americans would realize Democratic leaders "care about us," Ybarra said, referring to Mexican-Americans.
I bet he takes some "travel expenses" out of that 20 million.

She is overdue with a couple of months already so my bet it is she will fight to the end aka never bow out at all ... she clearly doesn't understand that this is just doing damage to the democrats that she clings to a lost hope of being a presidential candidate ... guess the republicans are cheering for her ...

I think the party may let her take this to June 4th.  But I still don't think they're dumb enough to let this get to the superdelegate scenario, it may come down to a Howard Dean bitch slap.

I really think we are seeing her act out some kind of psychosis.  She is delusional to the point of self-destruction.

june 4th. she is too driven and wants the job too much to not let this go on until the last primary vote has been counted.

btw, is it true that, in the US, Obama is generally viewed as being the more genuine, honest candidate, while Hillary is regarded as a power-hungry, self-centered bitch ?
Cause that's the impression that I get from the opinions here.

Obama now has more delegates, more state wins, and more of the popular vote. Committed superdelegates are about even.  The rest of the superdelegates are going to get away from Clinton like she is the plague. (It's only going to get worse for Clinton). There is no "scenario".. per her own campaign leaders. I've been saying for awhile that the Dems aren't dumb enough to allow superdelegates to overturn such an obvious win.

She's praying for a Fl/MI seating.

lol.. true. Obama didn't even campaign in those states. I don't know how they could possibly consider including those states "after the fact". Won't happen.. but damn they created a mess.

After Oregon, it would be mathematically impossible for her to win unless its a total landslide in her favor.  Her campaign is $11 million in debt, she needs to stay in to raise funds to pay herself back from the loans she gave herself.  Bill has smashed his own credibility lately, so making that cash back on the lecture circuit may be a bit more difficult now.

So, on that note, after Oregon she'll just look plain retarded to stay in.  The only reason to pick "never" would be if she's staying in to cynically raise funds to pay herself back.
