Out of interest, how is she planning on getting her $11mill back?

The real question is; "When does Clinton pull out?"

Well judging by the stains on Lewinsky's dress, Bill at least, pulls out just in time.

She'll either get smaller donations from average voters or, and this is more likely, will either use funds from her senate campaign accounts or hold a large-donor fund raiser.

She still has a lot of support from big-money types in the NYC area so raising $11 mil wouldn't be that hard for her.

She'd rather take everyone down with her than go alone.

I think she's tedious enough to drag the country through this crap until the DNC convention in August.  I think she's proud enough to continue pissing away millions, even her own (cuz she's been dried up for months now).

I don't ever see her backing down... sadly.

I think she'll stay for the next primary or two to see what sort of a situation she pulls herself in there. Who's most likely to win in the next primaries?

THe problem is, even if she wins, it doesn't mean she'll recoup the lost 150 votes she'll need.  LIke Indiana and NC, she needed to win both, and win them by large margins to threaten Obama's lead.  If she wins other primaries, 51/49 again, that won't do jack...but she'll keep on keepin' on like the relentless windbag she is.

The Clinton legacy is getting stained as we speak.

Either soon (within the week) or never.

She's likely tagging along in the hopes of getting that VP spot with Obama, but I doubt he will go for it, many crossover voters will be turned off by the presence of Hillary on the ballot.  Most Republicans I know would consider voting Obama, but never Clinton.

The longer she stays in the less likely she is to get the VP spot (Or any significant role in the DNC). It came down to two contenders a long time ago. She is now running the risk of losing stature as her party begins to plead for her departure from the race. She is wasting democratic resources now.

She'll never get the VP spot, it would kill Obama's chances of drawing moderate votes

Unlikely she wants it. The role of the VP is almost nil. She might take Deans place.. but the Clinton's do not settle for second place in politics.

Special interest groups can continue to contribute to a campaign after it's over. That's why they say she "loaned" her campaign the money. It's a nice little loophole.

I think if she loses WV she'll call it.

6 days might be enough for her to bear the storm. But it could make it even more humilating for her as well. Needless to say if she does she is going to pour everything she has got into WV. I'm curious to see what kind of turnout WV would have. I wonder how much of that would be a result of Operation Chaos. Clinton was obviously the candidate of choice for the GOP. No doubt she represented a common evil..lol

WV is a red state, ill bet a lot of republicans will tour up to vote hillary, just to watch the Dems eat eachother a bit longer.

Not long after the polls close in the May 20 Kentucky and Oregon primaries, Barack Obama plans to declare victory in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

And, until at least May 31 and perhaps longer, Hillary Clinton's campaign plans to dispute it.

It's a train wreck waiting to happen, with one candidate claiming to be the nominee while the other vigorously denies it, all predicated on an argument over what exactly constitutes the finish line of the primary race.

The Obama campaign agrees with the Democratic National Committee, which pegs a winning majority at 2,025 pledged delegates and superdelegates--a figure that excludes the penalized Florida and Michigan delegations. The Clinton campaign, on the other hand, insists the winner will need 2,209 to cinch the nomination--a tally that includes Florida and Michigan.

"We don't accept 2,025. It is not the real number because that does not include Florida and Michigan," said Howard Wolfson, one of Clinton's two chief strategists. "It's a phony number."

Wolfson said they intend to contest the DNC's 2,025 number "every day," as well as any declaration of victory made by Obama based upon that number, because it does not include Florida and Michigan.

Good for Obama. Let her bitch and moan about Florida and Michigan. It's over, and she's in denial.
