Mouse not showing in any steam games.

I just installed Steam on my new laptop I got for my birthday and redownloaded some games and bought a new one. My problem is that whenever I start a game to play the mouse disappears. The games still works fine everything runs well but the mouse cursor is invisible. When I first bought my new game the mouse worked fine. Now the next day it's invisible again.

I searched for the problem on google and other people were having the same issue but nobody knew a solution. So I thought I'd ask the people here to see if anyone had a slight idea.

My laptop has a 8800 GTS and runs with vista home premium. Same games worked fine on my desktop which has 2 7600 GSes and Vista Ultimate. I have the latest drivers installed.

Any ideas?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Are you using the touchpad or a wireless mouse? Or a wired mouse?

If using touchpad, get a mouse.

If using wireless mouse, make sure it is working right and you have the right drivers. Or if it is a wired mouse, make sure you turn your touchpad off.

Did you reboot?

The laptop is touchpad but I have a wired mouse connected to it. I'll try turning the touhcpad off to see if it makes a difference.

Edit: Nope still nothing

Does it work in any other games? If yes then I would suggest reinstalling steam.

Yeah it works it every other game. I'm going to try to use all my different mice to see if they make a difference.

Nope didn't make a difference. Fuck it I'm just gonna reinstall steam. Thanks for the help anyway.
