Very simple, I have got myself one of the new lian li armour suit cases (the smaller version though, P60), and for the life of me, I cant work out why any of the fans wont start up or the LED (tho am not so fussed about that so much, should work though).  I've also got a read out that sits in one of the external drive bays which should be displaying things like temperatures and system information, stone dead.

Now, I automatically assumed its the power supply so I swapped it out and nothing.  I even put that PSU in another older machine to see if it was powering up and it was (and powering the fans inside that case.

Therefor I can only assume there is a fault with the case but thats got to be a first :\  (for me atleast)

Thoughts?

Specs:

Lian li PC60
E8400
GA P35 DS3L
Evga 512mb 8800 GTS
Seasonic 700W M12
2GB Corsair PC8500

1. Does the computer boot up?
2.  Is your mobo dead?
3. Do you have the fans connected correctly?
4. Do they have a rheostat controller to turn them to fast or slow?

1.  Yep, although the temps shoot sky high since the only fan is on the CPU heat sinc, so I havent even got a chance to put in the OS.
2.  It's posting, but again, I havent ran it very long for the reasons above.
3.  Ya there certainly in properly.
4.  There is a fan controller on the front pannel which allows u to vary the fan speed

What do the wires coming from the fans look like, are they just regular 3-pin connectors, or is there more than 2 connectors?

Does any other fans work if you plug them into the same sockets?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Nope just sits.  I did get a bit of a whining static almost noise coming from it but still no movement

Can't you just not connect the case and short the power switch connectors to turn it on?

Just run the rig all hooked up but not in the case. If everything is fine, then there is an issue with your case.

Try getting a 3-pin to molex converter and running the fans directly off your power supply.
