Damage: AK-47 Does more and kills armoured enemies quicker.
Deviation (Accuracy): AK-47 is more accurate when strafing and moving forward, AK-101 is more accurate only after you have already sprayed more then 10 rounds.
Misc stats: AK-47 Reload time is nearly a second quicker. AK-101 has a lower delay to use (draw time).
The maths say, AK-47 does more damage is more accurate more of the time and has a shorter reload time, and the one trade off for all that is a slightly longer draw time. As you say, it's in the maths, and the AK-47 wins hands down.
