Hi all,

Big problem i have just reformatted after having issues with BF2. after re formatting i have tried to install BF2, special forces and the 1.2 patch.

after installing BF2 fine i went to install Special Forces and during the installation i received a patching failed window and the installation failed. i then uninstalled BF2 and started over, installed BF2 then this time the patch and again for got a patch failed for the 1.2 patch.

please help!!!!!!! i need to play soon

thanks

install BF2 then install the full patch...then install SF followed by the full patch again...i've heard this is the pattern to fix several issues...from the EA site tech help...they're tech support so...edit [it more or less worked for me though when i had problems after the patch]

ok that seems to be fixed. kind of, even though the patch still says patching failed at the end. the patch seesm to have taken when playing in single payer. now when trying to join an online game (multiplayer) i get the error code LOCERROR_cdkeynotvalid???????

Help?

do you have a legit copy?  maybe all your problems stem from that.
