I'm a pretty average scout though. I can cap intel maybe 2 times in a row without dying. Could never do it 3 times since that is when they start reinforcing their defenses.
EDIT: Also i'm a damn good Pyro when need be. Instead of like all the other dumb fuck Pyros that rush an enemy head on with their flamethrower blazing, I pull out my shotty and stay back a bit. I only use the Flamethrower if i'm behind the guy, Or if i'm outta shotty ammo. Truth be told I prefer the Ax over the Flamethrower for ambushes. It's silent and crits almost as much as the bonesaw and wrench.

I hate it as its terrible, but it's cheap and most people enjoy it, so you should probs get it.
Also about the backstab thing, IMO the backstab should happen as soon as you click, I dont give a fuck about the animation and when that would hit, coz if you are stabbing a moving target when you aim at their back and click they will often move and by the time the backstab happens they are now facing you (and probably are a soldier who just shoot directly down once/twice and think they are skilled), also they should actually FIX the frontstab problem.
Also disguising as a friendly is a tactic
eg: you can confuse people to thinking there is a heavy/soldier/pyro around a corner then go invisible to another position, which can often be enough to distract them while your team shoots them or you backstab them (also works well as red at the start of dustbowl, you can get people to think you are camping next to the gate, which would often waste time of their uber) Also at the start of dustbowl you might not want the enemy to know you are a spy (also they have fixed that problem now, you will become a friendly again)

Exactly how the pyro should be played. Shame the class gets a bad name because so many idiots charge in with their flamethrowers hoping to see "you set more people on fire than your previous best".David.P wrote:

As long as you don't quit if you get owned when you first start playing, it will take a while to get used to.
TF2 is the best game made in the last few years, a lot more fun than BF2. I think I even have more time on TF2 in 7 months than BF2 in 2 years.
