edit: star wars is not bad and there are some other good science-fiction movies, like gattaca, but they are no masterpieces like the movies mentionned above. oh, and star trek sucks!

I've never seen Space Odyssey. Blade Runner is/was brilliant. I've only read the Dune books so as awesome as they were, I can't comment on the film. Alien(s) was good but not that great.

I quite liked dune the movie,wasn't too bad.But i didn't read the book so can't really compare.
Just loved playing dune 2 lol, dune(the game) was ok but jeez it was boring.

Very, very difficult to choose between the first two Alien movies but perhaps Aliens just edged it. One of the very few sequels to surpass the original.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
starship troopers is a great satire for those who get the meaning of the movie and don't take it, as most people do, as a science-fiction action movie. however, it can't compete with the 5 options above.
