AVG 8 (free edition)

It says I have one or the other of these programs installed, problem is, I've never had them installed
at the moment, I don't even have an anti-spyware or malware program

the only other programs I'm using are avast (free) and comodo firewall

does anyone know how to stop this?

Don't use multiple AV programs.

AVG bought Ewido. Ewido is in AVG8.

First of all, go to Start>control Panel, and go Add remove programs...

See if ewido or AVG is on there, anywhere... if not, then you should prob clear out your registry.... Find any AVG/Ewido things in there, and delete em

ok even with CCleaner un-installed it still refuses to install

Good thing is, "ewido" won't bring up any false positives in Regedit's useless search.
