Yes I read that too . But my question is: can I overclock it on that motherboard without BSOD's?
so you plan on using Q9450 and OC it? Then DO NOT buy that Asus. The MSI is 1000000000 times better if you can't afford the evga.

edit: E6600? still get the MSI. it is >>> asus

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Never buy mid-range Asus boards for doing anything heavy duty. That said, I'd never buy an MSI board for anything. Too many bad experiences.

Now that looks like a really nice board. Good bang for buck. I would get that one if I needed a SLi board now.
