Well, 60 mpg is pretty good but how about 120 to 130.  It's called the Loremo.  It's made in germany and due to release in 2009 in germany and 2010 in the U.S. for around $22,000.  I think I'd rather wait and get the better mpg and save 8 grand.

here's the linky

Nice MPG, but I bet the power on that car is so low that it wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a cat's ass.
There is a reason why all commercial trucks and all buses are Diesel. THEY ARE MUCH BETTER FOR PULLING SHIT!@!!!

A diesel may not produce the same BHP, but they produce much more Torque (and if you knew anything about physics, it is more important), and they also produce their highest BHP and Torque at a much lower rev range the petrol engines meaning you use far less fuel to get maximum power.

When Audi introduced a Diesel in the LeMans (unveiled Tuesday, December 13, 2005) it went on to win both its maiden race at the 2006 12 Hours of Sebring and the 2006 24 Hours of Le Mans. The R10 remained undefeated in American Le Mans Series competition until April 14, 2007

No, but if your in the market for a 'new' car, you might want to consider fuel economy (this time)...

Basically, while diesel is more expensive
But it shouldn't. Diesel requires less crude oil and Refining to produce then petrol. Although, today it does require a slightly more complex refining process to remove the Sulphur to make it 'clean', it is still cheaper to produce.

More mpg = less horsepower
Pulling out into traffic or trying to pass on the freeway sucks when low horsepower.
Then fill up your car with 4 people and see how fast your 60mpg car goes.
Sure it's cool when you have no friends and you drive slow and not allot of traffic. But normal driving is going to blow if you want to get somewhere.
slow cars are also a traffic hazard.
more emissions parts = more things to break and harder to diagnose

60+ mpg sounds cool, but in reality what are you really getting in a car.
What really needs to be done is to eliminate all cars older than 2000 and replace them with cars like this to really make a difference on this planet.
Try this: http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2008 … n-hyb.html
130 and 150 mpg with a simple two-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and aerodynamic body.

There are plans to then bring the model to the U.S., but as a $30,000 three-cylinder model for better acceleration – 0-60 in 10 seconds. There’s no word on how that will impact the mileage, though. Besides the small, efficient engine, the Loremo – short for low-resistance-mobile – and has minimal drag, even down to its wheels, all to increase efficiency.

Randomly on the topic of gas mileage, while hauling a buttload of crap (moving to take summer classes in Ann Arbor), and while going 60 mph for 200 miles, I managed to get 47.3 mpg in my '93 Honda Civic 5-speed!!!!  Eat that Prius!

How can you say that, do know anything about how an engine works.
