USB motherboard header to external USB

I'm looking for something that will connect my front USB ports with the usual motherboard header connection of my HTPC to the back of the PC to a normal USB port. My mobo doesn't have enough internal connections for 7xUSB. It only has 4.

Do you really need 7 front USB ports...? I have two USB units on my gaming PC (Mouse/kb) and one on my secondary (Wireless remote). Being a media PC, I can't imagine it needs all too much.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

not really but I hate having some of them not working.

you pefectionist. I have four unplugged on my secondary I'll go unplug two more, just for you <3

Btw, all you do is moving ports from the rear to the front.

I could add a little hub, maybe even a flash drive for ready boost. The case has shitloads of space for little additions

Will do once I'm done. Still loads to do, cut grills, add little loops, suspend the HDs with rubber band thingies, suspend the fans, make airducts...

follow up: got it all worked out. My mobo has 4 internal USB

1x --> USB stick for ready boost (2GB)
1x --> Front panel
1x --> 2x powered hub --> 1x front panel and 1x Card reader
1x --> 4x powered hub --> 4x front panel

tuck away everything behind the side panel and place the hubs & soldering behind the fan controller
