CD  drive won't read some CDs. It Reads BF1942, BFV and BF2 but not IL2 Sturmmovick, its like its not in the drive, it wont see it ?

My kids machine has 2 drives one is CD and one is a Writer.  Acer 56x max and CDRW 32x10x40

Any hints or ideas ?

Are you saying your kids machine can read the disk, but yours cannot?

Brand new ( clean )  Disc. My machine reads and installs it, his will not.

This may sound stupid, but when I bought Sturmmovick some time ago it was on 3 CDs.  Are you sure this isn't a DVD?

If item one isn't the case, how old are these drives?  Judging by the 32x10x40, that burner is pretty old.  I've seen some newer disks that won't read in older drives because the manufacturer essentially uses overburn when they print the discs, trying to mash every last bit of data they can on the disks.  Older drives may have a problem with such disks.
