im all nooby when it comes to audio/video stuff, and ever since my upgrade to vista, windows media player gives me this error when i play avi files:

I can play the video, but i cant adjust brightness and color and all that shit. The codec is not found on wmplugins.com, and i do have divx 6 installed. i really like media player and don't want to use anything else. is there anyone out there who knows where on the internet this stupid codec lives? i can't seem to find it. thanks homies.
