I beg to differ. Saudi Arabia sends a lot of money to other Muslim and even non-muslim countries. Im talking about billions of dollars. This money has helped build mosques in Bosnia, Albania and Kosovo. This money has has also built mosques, madrassas and Islamic Cultral centers in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afganistan, Egypt and almost every other majority muslim country on the planet. Saudi Arabia has also spent millions in the United States and in Europe by contributing to Universities in order to create Islamic Studies departments.

Lol thats sadly true. They build a giant Mosque in my home town in Bosnia quite beautiful actually. But fortunately they didn't have the authority to appoint an Imam of their choosing. They tried quite hard to radicalise Bosnia for a while but they have mostly given up.NantanCochise wrote:

Why did you Malays convert to Islam anyway, it's not like you were raped by the Arabs like the Persians were (who then went on to Rape the Afghans/Some Indians etc.. until quite alot of them converted)

Why would anyone convert to any religion, let alone Islam? I just can't picture the person who says, " I just have too much money and free time on Sundays, I think I will become a Christian " or " Hey, I too want to grovel about on the ground 3 times a day like a robot controlled by a loud speaker, I think I will become a Muslim ".
I can honestly see the people who grew up with it and just go along with the flow because it is easier (obviously at least 80% of the people), but to willingly convert because someone came to your door with a book and told you too or the big red minotaur is going to ass rape you for eternity?

If I remember my history correctly (which I suck at), the various Malay monarchs converted to Islam of their own accord, then it was spread to nearby kingdoms through marriage and to he people by example. At the very least, Islam has one instance of peaceful conversion which is the country I live in. There are also tales regarding Jewish POWs who, in Muhammad's time, were released on the sole condition that they teach ten local children to read and write.

By the way, Lotta, it's five times a day. And we don't pray on the ground, we use a sejadah or prayer mat. If you don't mind me asking, please improve your knowledge of how Islam goes about its daily life rather than making general assumptions based on what is portrayed in the media.
