Just downloaded an swf file, a regular flash file. But, when I try to open it in Firefox, it just asks where I want to save the file.

I've solved this some time before, but I can't remember what I did. If I choose to open with Firefox, it just asks where I want to save it. I'm running FF3b5.

Halp?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Go to your settings and choose which files to automatically download and which to not

I used IE to get to use the file, but IE is slow as hell, ugly as hell, etc, and barely works. (Had to keep pressing Play in the right-click menu, etc)

I tried putting Firefox as the default program to open those files with, but it only resulted in an endless loop of new tabs.

I think you're referring to .flv.

I haven't done it in a pretty long time... Never in b5.

You can install that on 3.5b - try that and see if Flash works afterwards as normal.

I've got flash set - All other flash things work, except from those on my HD.

Well, not interactive ones, it seems. Perhaps the one I'm trying to open is simply too large for VLC.
