do you have a hair drier around? If you do, heat the heatsink a bit with it and the cooler should fall off with a bit force.
or something similar blowing hot air on the heatsink...
PCB, assembly and heatsink/fan. Performance doesn't vary between different versions.Acreta wrote:
What is the difference between the Palit and the ASUS version?

Why not? If it's all he's got, why not try to squeeze out as much as possible?haffeysucks wrote:
i wouldn't even bother with a 8600GT tbh
ekscuze meh, but you're not giong to sell that thing for €70. Cheapset 512mb 8600GT here is €50.....Sup wrote:

45€ then, you can get a 8800GS for 80€ or buy used.']['error wrote:

That is BS tbh, my 8600GTS maxes it out without AA (but I do like a constant 80 FPS)DeathUnlimited wrote:
Cooler would go for 15€, 8600GT for ~45€
And I do not really need anything better at the moment. The thing that is overlooked so many times on this section.
Besides this little buddy for example maxes out CoD4 with 4xAA. Believe it or not. I didn't expect such a performance from it, but it sure is a good card now after the drivers have boosted it's performance by a lot. And of course my OC'ing.
Sounds like the DDR2 version. Lemme guess, 512MB?haffeysucks wrote:

DDR3, but 256MB. Not an extremely high resolution - 1680x1050.Freezer7Pro wrote:
