BF2S Forums 2142 gets a patch but bf2 doesnt

BF2 has been around for 3 years.

I wonder why people would want to hack up the BF2 leaderboards more than 2142....


On topic: Yes, it is fucking fail.

Titan airdrops was fixed, and its not so big as the shit in bf2 where you can get everything in a single match in one server.

i don't know.  I think EA has too much work to do to fix BF2's bugs, exploits, and weak points.  It still makes money, so they don't want to say "we're done with BF2" but they are.  It is not cost effective to fix BF2.  just pray they realized from thier mistakes, and will build a better, more reliable BF3.

I have a question though.  Is there PID SPOOFING in 2142?

That bummed me out seeing my stats get spoofed, screwed, and reset.  But, life goes on, just a game etc etc.

er wat?it's not cost effective to fix BF2,but it is cost effective to fix a game that nobody plays?EA logic fails.

Regardless of that, its buisness, new games come out, and those players are more entitled to patches and the such then older games.  Wouldnt like it to much if you jsut bought a game, had a serious bug and the developer still patching a game from 3 years ago now would you?

Maybe 2142 being a different game is easier to patch?

Maybe 2142 has more potential to EA because it's more expensive?

BF2 still has a shitload of bugs and glitches that have been there since day one.we have every right to bitch when EA neglects to fix obvious bugs that have been brought to their attention month after month year after year,and then instead turns around and gives us a map sponsored by Intel.wtf?

and there's still no way you can justify patching 2142 and not BF2.yes,2142 is newer.but where are the majority of the players?that's right,they're playing BF2.

let me put it this way for you.EA has customer group A and customer group B.group B has been with EA for years,while group A is fairly new.both groups have problems.now,wouldn't you say it makes sense to attend to the needs of the bigger,more loyal group B first and then worry about A?yes.yes it does.but EA doesn't work that way.EA goes off and helps A while simultaneously taking a dump in the face of group B.thus group B is fairly bitter.

Yeah, I just checked, Refractor 2. But they could use different code I suppose.

Bf2 is coded out of fail...it would require to much time to repair anything, and you know that Dice WILL screw up something else and get another load of e-mail from furious 12 years old child that wine about this and this not beeing 1337 enough. They might just want to leave the game the way it is right now...not so badly balanced, not too buggy (Except for the: Error reading from server thingies).

I rather see them spending time in a new game that will be able to make us forget how they had problem with bf2....Like mirror's edge
