BF2S Forums i need help on Vista business

i bought a lap top and its operating system is windows Vista business and i installed bf2 and it said "this program has been tested on windows xp" i cliked ok then it installed. i double clicked on the icon but it wont start up i tried evrything i could think off. then i tryed bf2142 and i have the same problem and i dont no what to do i need help
