BF2S Forums 2142 gets a patch but bf2 doesnt

seriously, dice % EA failed again

Bf 2142 is 1 year younger, no wonder that shit got patched. After 1 year i guess EA forgets 2142 for eva.
We must start spamming EA mailbox with letters that we need new patch. If we are able to send 10,000 letters maybe then...

It doesn't matter how many emails are sent. If there's no one left who actually worked on BF2 and patched it, who's going to make the patch? They're not going to train monkeys especially for one (though I guess some people wouldn't tell the difference anyway).

Not sure... although not at the moment on the gameplay website bf2 has been selling pretty well seeing as you can get it pretty cheap now, also as it has been said people are still playing alot more bf2 than 2142. Have a look at teamwarfare league's competition list and you'll see that there are more than twice the number of active teams in bf2 5v5 inf compared to the same mode in 2142. And people say bf2 is dead.... tbh 2142 is more dead.

BF2. At the moment, 14650 players & 4470 servers.
BF2142. At the moment, 4969 players & 1466 servers.

Thats a huge difference, BF2 has more than 3 times the amount of players and almost 3 times the amount of servers than 2142.

Just to clarify, the Bf2142 patch doesn't seem to fix any bugs or change any gameplay.

It trys to fix the pods and adds 2 new community made maps.

I wonder why so many people still play the bf2 demo.

It was to butcher the bf2 engine and make everything seem chunky.

Thats why BF2 is still strong as its smooth moving, high jumping, and ease of movement, unlike cod4, 2k, and from what i saw FFOW.

BF2 is fun, BF2142 is fun, get over it. BF2 is never going to get another patch, they're not going to support such an old game even if it has a larger community around it.

Sure, BF2 and 2142 have flaws. Plenty of flaws. But it's time to stop CONSTANTLY bringing them up in every BF2 thread. Yeah, we get it, you guys think BF2 was somehow ruined by the blackhawk being nerfed or some dumb shit.
It's over. BF2 is still a fun game, and as is BF2142.

Yes, there were some changes that significantly altered how BF2 is played. Does that really matter? I still play BF2 and enjoy it immensely, I think it's one of if not THE best multiplayer FPS out on the market.

Yes, the hitreg sucks cocks. Yes, things were nerfed too much. Look at all the positive shit though, no bunny hopping as well as new DICE produced maps. I don't care if EA rubs Intel's cock all over BF2 and puts ads for intel all over Tampa, a new map is still a new map. And a great one to boot.

DICE and EA didn't 'fail' anyone. People go on and on about how EA and DICE are the devil, but I feel like nowadays I'm the only one who can look at them and say "I enjoy the Battlefield series more than just about any other mutliplayer game on the market. They're good in my book."

Highway Tampa is a welcome retreat from all the IO fests out there. Some real tanking, as there should be, in Battlefield 2. Make use of those vehicles!
