I would have loved to see Black Hawk Down in the cinema...anyway, I thought the effects (particularly sound) in Cloverfield were quite good...I don't go to the cinema much.

that movie was just epic in the cinema, specially with its music...

300 is like The Teletubbies compared to it.

Nope, my parents never think of it and there's no other people for me to go with.  I was under the impression that going to movies alone is considered sad by society.

American Gangster was a really excelent movie and me and my friends enjoyed it a bunch. It wasn't really that action packed though, but was still an excelent movie.

I love you Denzel!

Just watched it 2 days ago! Fantastic movie, bought the SE DVD that came with a second disk, extended(unseen) version of the movie and in a metal casing.

Seriously, it's amazing in the cinema with everyone pissing them selves laughing.

Either that or Hostel Part 2 because some woman near us puked into their popcorn and left.

I was lucky enough to see 2001 A Space Odyssey on the big screen at a Stanley Kubrick retrospective. I also saw Donnie Darko on the big screen and E.T. when I was very young (can't really remember so doesn't really count). I had tickets to a screening of LA Confidential followed by a Q&A with the guy who played the corrupt police chief but I got a seriously bad stomach bug and couldn't go.

When I saw the first Hostel film there was a woman who I'd say was in her seventies sitting along from me and she looked like she really enjoyed it!

Aye! My cheeks hurt several hours after that movie!
My Dad's  52 and he loved the movie so much he had to buy it

The worst shit then. That was Alone in the dark. I was pissed when I walked out the theatre on Manhattan. Then I went through a series of bars in what I remember was the Village. The first place had a "Phoebe" playing her acoustic guitar and I was just waiting her to play "smelly cat" She didn't and then I started talking with some Irish guys and they said the magic words "free beer in our bar" and away we went. Drunk Irish ppl in NYC are teh best
