The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Not when you aquire an version of your own, which ofcourse is 100% legal according to microsoft when you go to the windows update page .Freezer7Pro wrote:

Too much work, and it becomes a hassle. I just downloaded a quick Vista theme, and that's all I need.
Plus I never even use that crazy screen switching thing.kylef wrote:

All Vista versions have Aero, with the exception of Home Basic.

F E A T U R E S and if you don't like the thread you can leave. This was posted for those who may actually try the above.
TBH, Vista is an improved version of XP with the exception of the enormous amounts of RAM it uses - which is then again annulled if you're on 4GB RAM (and go from XP Professional to Vista). Vista should have been an update for XP though, rather than a new operating system.Sup wrote:

I upgraded from Vista to XP. Seriously for me going from XP to Vista was a downgrade, everything worked so slow and this was my second Vista install. Reinstalled XP twice.
