Me right before surgery:

So Friday night my stomach is hurting. Bad. Can't sleep. Check appendicitis symptoms at 4 am and figure that's what it sounds like. Go to the ER and that's what I got, have surgery the following afternoon.

At home recovering now.

So who else has had this done! Let's swap stories.

Had one in fourth grade. Woke up at 4AM with pain, checked in by 6AM, they ran something like 7 tests and finally diagnosed it at 5 PM, all the while I'm not allowed to eat anything and have been in extreme pain. Schedule surgery for 7PM, pushed back to 8PM, pushed back to 9PM, finally have the surgery at 10PM, by which time I'm incredibly hungry. Wake up at midnight, now I don't feel like eating and am ironically forced to eat.

ugh.

Yup that sounds like hospitals! I was diagnosed at one hospital, and due to insurance reasons they had to transfer me to another one. Took like 5 hours.

I had mine taken out in 5th grade. It took them forever to figure out what was wrong with me. I missed a whole month of school... 1 week home terribly sick, then I went and got checked out lawl. A week in the hospital, then 2 weeks at home after that and no makeup work! But I did miss halloween.... Oh and I had an ugly nurse that wasn't very considerate of all my tubes
Also, I remember having to drink all that nasty pink stuff before surgery, and then getting anesthetized and waking up and being like "wtf where am I...oh yea"

Last year I had symptoms of the stomach flu then I had a incredibly sharp pain on my lower right side of my stomach the next day it felt even worse we went the the hospital and I had to be take cared of immediately because my appendix was already bursting it almost fully ruptured I remembered when they put me to sleep it was so relaxing then it felt like a second later but 5 hours past since the operation.

Recovering from it is a bitch just don't run or get out of bed too fast.

Ughhh I didn't have any hot ones. I was hoping that the chick who shaved me would be hot, or I'd have a hot one later that would give me a sponge bath , but alas, to no avail.

Had one in seventh grade, during football season.

Only problem was, they took the appendix in the course of doing exploratory surgery to figure out what was causing the pain. Never figured it out, but never really had it again after my pink, healthy appendix was removed.
