hey Guys,

It's weird, My pc is acting up again.  everytime I start, it sends me to screen that says error in disk, then performs scan disk to fix prob. When it finishes it restarts, but everything loads really slow.

The only thing i added recently was a digital copy of silent hunter, which i bought straight from ubisoft. So I would think the game should be safe since i direct downloaded from the ubisoft website.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Sounds like his HDD has bad sectors or some kind of error, he should back up anything he has that he wants to keep, then replace it.

Sounds about right to me, I had a similar problem with a HDD with bad sectors. Backup and replace.

Yeah.

If the hard drive he has was made by Western Digital (and is still in warrantee) you can do an "advanced RMA", where you give them your credit card number, and they will send you a new HD before they recieved the one you send to them, so it's twice as fast.

Hi haffey
I dunno if this disc scan he made is the same as this but he can try it.

Step1
Double-click on My Computer to open the My Computer window.

Step2
Select the disk that you want to diagnose and repair.

Step3
Choose Properties from the File menu. You should see the Properties window for the drive that you selected.

Step4
Choose the Tools tab.

Step5
Click the Check Now button under Error Checking Status.

Step6
Depending on your version of Windows, choose either "Thorough" or "Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors."

Step7
Click on Start.

This will search for bad sectors on his HDD
