shopped, I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.Kmarion wrote:

Okay, do you really need internet access when you're reading?Kmarion wrote:
Your nuts. Auto saving bookmarks, ez searching, delivered whenever wherever, cheaper and sometime (ahem) free books, not having to hold the pages open, and internet access.
They don't even advertise that it has it.. I didn't know until after the fact.
No but seriously, that screen looks kinda funky, like everything is raised above it. Is it hard to read off for extended periods of time?
ig no u tbh
Actually it's identical to reading a book. They call it e-ink. It's weird when you first see it in person. You'd swear it was paper/ink.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

I'm tempted to pick one of these up. Please start a thread and give us a review of the kindle plzKthnx.
Yes it's free. They call it basic internet because the graphics aren't great (but it's free). It's not bad as far as speed.Volatile wrote:

On the radio awhile ago they talked about sleep issues and one man called in and told his story how he got to sleep.
He pretended he was a soldier in war but the enemies had crushed the lines so he tried to lay as still as possible without making a noise or moving a inch playing dead, that sounds like great fun to me now go to bed soldier.

burpees and masturbation.
If that doesn't work, then watch Barney. (remember the days?)
I watched black hawk down yesterday.
I expected to dream about war or something, but instead, I dreamed of being a car washer.

i heard if you boil wine and then put a bit of honey in it that will make you get to sleep. my grandparents used to do it on my dad and uncles
I used to have sleeping problems but now I listen to the old XFM radio shows done by ricky gervais, stephen merchant and karl pilkington on WMP while I'm in bed and I doze off pretty fast.
My sister's boyfriend listens to a tape of woodland noises. My method is funnier

Have a wank, that will soothe you perfectly Then count the sheep until you fall asleep.
Read a VERY boring book. Once you can't read any futher just throw the book and hit the bed.
OR stay up for 2 days and then lie down anywhere.

wanking has actually been proven to help you sleep, it also keeps you calm, so feeling a little stressed, you know what to doNordemus wrote:

My wife helps me get to sleep.

Bizarrely, this worked - I read your post, smiled, yawned, thought 'yay, I'm tired', switched PC off, went to bed, slept. Thanks dude. :thumbsup:viper313 wrote:

Ve' well. Ve' well. Thankyou.r'Eeee wrote:

Totally fucked sleeping patterns though. I think I was awake for something like 48 to 60 hours. Slept for about 12hours. Now approaching 12hrs awake with knowledge that I have important appointment in 9hrs time...
hmmm....
And... WOAH! Holy thread bifurcation Batman! I like. I like.
That wakes me up more than anything. To go to sleep, I just pretend like it's early in the morning and I have just woken up. Ironic isn't it?Flaming_Maniac wrote:
Read some of Kmarion's posts in DAST.
OH SHI-
Read a book in bed, preferably about something that takes concentration to read.
