When i plug it in the screen just comes up in blocks and dosnt load ? Any idea's on how to fix it? dout it but worth a try.

What kind of paste is it? If it's ceramic/non-conductive it shouldn't destroy the card. AS5 on the other hand ...

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

probably dead as rock. If the GPU or its PWM has been short circuited, it is very likely that ram chips are dead as well. including the pwm components.

so what we learn from this: never put paste in places were it is not ment to be put.

Standard Heatsink, The was full and it just kept freezing when in doing a grpahic test, and put another card in and it worked, so he put "silver thermal paste" which was "ceramic no-conductive" ??

If it was non-conductive it might be ok, but anyway, pics?

no, me!  haha jk, youre sending me that cooler.  does this mean i send something to the OP to make a full sending circle?

anyway, i think you should make a keychain out of the GPU like freezer did

Doesn't have to be the paste. 6800GTs are known for their short lifespan.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

True freezer, the card was playing up before the paste was applied but i think that it could of been on its last legs anyway
I have more images but the focus on the cam is crap and thus can see much.

Just plugged it in, A and C on the DELL lights show up, which is graphics card and notthing displays on the screen.

Yes, we must have a sending circle completed.

It's not even worth fixing. Upgrade your card asap.

a working card is better than a dead one.
