i'm going to college next year and i've already decided not to bring a gaming capable computer because i don't want to risk my social life so no PC games or computer upgrades.

thats what its for. my grandmother lives on the other side of the nation and has no idea what kind of stuff i'm into. rather than buy me a gift she sends me money to buy myself a gift. its too small an amount to have any realistic value financially, its chump change in the grand scheme of things.
