A TN panel on that big a monitor isn't the best idea.
It was pretty impressive for the price and the guy liked it, so did we. His choice, I like it too.buLLet_t00th wrote:

For the money you could've got a much nicer (and better specd) Dell or Samsung.JaMrulezass wrote:

Just seems weird that this bloke obviously has shit loads of money, but still gets the worst specd monitor in that kind of size area.

There werent many choices, this was the best out of the lot, please, were all really happy with the choice. I mean, will it relaly have made a big difference if we went with something else?buLLet_t00th wrote:

There was a dell one for an EVEN cheaper price but we had some doubts about such a cheap monitor

Don't get the wrong idea.....its a nice monitor, I'd be happy with it, but when you're spending so much on something, surely you want the best you can get, just seems a bit weird thats all.JaMrulezass wrote:

do you have a family? what do you do for a living? why are you spending $6,500 on a damn computer that will be outdated in a few months? WHY?!
He is building it for a friend.
I can't understand spending almost $2000 on just the cpu, that seems ridiculous to me.
Thats kind of like asking why buy a ferrari when a ford focus can get you there almost as quick :\jamiet757 wrote:

Martyn
No it is like asking why buy a tank to hunt rabbits when a bb gun will do. It is overkill. He could get a processor that performs almost as well, for A LOT less money. In my opinion, the price/performance of the extreme line is not worth it.
It's really nothing like that at all.jamiet757 wrote:

See I do think its over kill even if its a friend. I spent $950 on mine and it can play all games on high with the exception of Crysis.
