Hey guys, very breifly for those of you that are interested. I descided to move back to the states (am a scotsman who was brought up in the USA, went to Scotland when I was 18 and now I am going home). That therefor meant I had to basically sell up everything in scotland and as a result I have nothing material to my name TILL NOW! I havent set on the rest of my stuff yet but the most important part has arrived and its up, and somthing else I didnt expect to arrive today did.
New Samsung 40'' LCD
And the mystery box contained:
This is part of a much bigger project. Those speakers that near the TV are all be it nice, some old Jamo's that are going as soon as I work out what to use in order to replace em. Parts still to come/to be ordered are:
AV receiver
5.1/7.1 Surround sound speakers
Blu-ray Player
Cable obv
PS3 and Xbox 360 Elite
I was also considering a HTPC to connect up to it but that's a long way off, the receiver is what am most anxious to get now.
The TV is great, its 50:000:1 contrast and the colors are so vivid and bright, smooth edges and great blacks. The only slight thing I have about it is those redish bits around the edges in certain lights look a bit naff tbh, dont get me wrong in the evenings it looks fantastic, it is a nice contrast, but under bright natural light it does look a bit out of place, but like I said the picture from the TV is that good I can forgive it that slight niggle.
The small bose unit you see btw is brilliant aswell. It has excellent sound, and as you could see, its tiny. I am putting that in my bedroom, but honestly it sounds so good you could put it on your main room, amazing sound, so much so I think I will go with Bose speakers to couple with the AV receiver.
Anyways thought I would share/gloat, I'll post up some pics of the other stuff if it arrives if anyone is interested.
