Where's the BF2 servers?

I used to be able to see many multiplayer servers when I fired up BF2.
Now I see some servers but there are only a couple that actually have >20 guys in them.
Where are all the servers everyone's playing in these days? Or is'nt anyone really playing the original BF2 anymore...

There's many many many servers with many players, are you sure you're patched to 1.41?

Yeah, also depends on what time of day you play. Some times are more popular than others.

It looks like I'm running 1.1.2963-795.0 (according to what it says under the "QUIT" button).
Does that mean I have the 1.4 patch?
I already downloaded & installed "BF2_Patch_1.4.exe"
Why doesn't my version reflect that?

patch is 1.41 not 1.4

OK, downloaded and installed the "BF2_Patch_1.41.exe"
I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate so I had to be sure to "Use an older program with this version of Windows" in the control panel and install under "Run as administrator".
HOLY CRAP! 3772 SERVERS! There's where everybody is!!!
I can see everyone now!
Oh yeah... I'm a happy guy.
That was the problem. I was running an older patch.
