I have had a couple wierd things happen in my life and have never thought much of it untill I read a post that someone else put in a different forum that seemed vaguely familiar to

The first thing was when I was about 8 years old having a dream that their was cash on our driveway.  I awoke that morning and remembered the dream and headed straight to the driveway where their was about $8 cash on the ground.  Appearently my father must have dropped the cash while pulling the keys from his pocket to unlock the car.  This is the only dream I have ever had that I have acted on and I still remember it vividly and just knew the money was there that morning the same way that you would know your TV is still sitting in the livingroom come morning.  It was strange.

The second thing that happened that I find strange is that about 5 years back I was sleeping and I kept dreaming the bed was shaking from an earthquake and I dreamed of the ground having waves traveling across it and of giant waves coming ashore.  I woke up and tried to lay as still as possible to see if their was an earthquake happening and was convinced there was and it wasn't all a dream.  It was about 12am and I went to the livingroom where my wife was watching tv and I asked here if there was an earthquake to which she said " no " and I told here about how I swore the bed started shaking and woke me up and I told her about the dreams.  The next morning at work I read the local news and there was a series of 6.x earthquakes just off the coast from where I lived between 1am-2am and a tsunami warning was issued.  I was 40 miles inland and it was reportedly not felt anywhere near my area.  I had never felt and earthquake in my life (to this day still) and had never ever given tsunamis a thought (or earthquakes at all) before that dream.  About 1 year later was when the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake hit with the massive Tsunami.

These are the only things that have ever happened that have made me wonder.  When I was younger I used to always get the dejavo where you thought you knew what someone would say before they said it, but I attribute this as being normal for a kid with a young hyperactive brain constantly thinking ahead or what not which might trick a person into getting that impression.

But what really makes me think is what my Mother told me out of the blue a few years back.

As for my Mother, she is religious and very conservative.  Doesn't lie, never done drugs, is extremely level headed, disbeliever in ESP/Aliens and such, and never sits around telling stories or embellishing facts when she does tell someone about something that has happened.  So she tells me one day that some 2nd cousin that she grew up near and hadn't thought of or talked to since highschool 30 years ago appeared to her in a dream and had a conversation with her.  During the conversation he told her he was dying. She woke up and remembered the dream which was very vivid and it bothered her.  It bothered her enough that week that she visited and asked my grandfather if he ever hears from his cousin and how her family is doing?  He told here that the guy she dreamed about passed away earlier that week.  My Mom never made any deal out of it and I remember her telling me about the weird dream back when it happened, but then a year later this guys kids ( this guy and his family lives a few states away and they don't even know my mother )show up at my Moms house.  So anyway, they tell her that when their father was dying of cancer he started talking about my Mom and having delusions talking to her.  Nobody had ever hear of her before that.  The next summer they tracked her down because they wanted to meet the person he was talking about/to before he died.

I have alway chalked this stuff up to " weird shit " but if it were more than just strange radom events that people would be able to use it to get rich or something and it would be proven and common knowledge.  I have alway thought of it as " seeing into the future " and I think of all the BS Nostradamous shit and hacks.  In reality the things that I know can and did happen to me would actually be remote viewing I guess ( knowing of things happening elsewhere).

Anyone else have any real experiences along these lines?

I had a vision:

you aren't going to get laid tonight.

j/k stuff happens like that once or twice a year to me...if they happened daily, then I'd freak out about it.

Yes, very easily believable for me.

Not because of some "I had a spooky" moment but because of the equally spooky quantum mechanics.  QM states that if the multi-verse theory of QM is true (and so much has already been observed as true) that time travel is indeed possible.  Since all particles are energy (string theory) and thought is energy (biology) it stands that thought can behave, in even a minute way, in the same fashion as the particles observed in QM.  Hence, thought may time travel.

Further, if you understand that our sub-conscience mind dominates our sleep it becomes the perfect place for that action to occur.  All precepts of "can and cant" are done with and anything is possible.  Ever had a Lucid Dream?  Next time see if you can sit and watch the news and make the date a few days from now.  Then watch the news on that day... Deja-vu like a mutha perhaps?

There was one time where I dreamed of meeting someone I didn't know, and the next day, I met that exact person.

I think it has to do with the subconscious somehow.

Those kinds of things happen to just about everyone at least once.  Yea, it's weird, but that doesn't make it any less true.

I have always had a slight ability to pick up on radio waves. Like I know what song is going to be on the radio before I turn it on.

Or maybe that's because they play they same shit all of the time.

Yes, I have had some experiences like that before, the only one I can think of right now would have to be when my mother used to hide mine and my siblings easter baskets so we could find them on Easter Sunday. I remember going to bed late the Saturday before Easter Sunday, and my mother had already hidden all of the baskets. While sleeping I had a dream in a 3rd person view of me finding my basket, it was behind the old television in my bedroom. Then I also visioned finding where my sisters basket was, it was under a bed sheet in the laundry room, and where my brothers basket was, in the stove. The next morning I just laid in my bed thinking, and remembered the dream. I sprang up from my bed and looked behind the television and sure enough my basket was there. I remember my sister complaining that she couldn't find her basket, so I told her to check the laundry room under the bed sheets. She found her basket there. Then I asked where my brother where his basket was and he said it was in the stove.

This happened about 8 years ago, I remember it so clearly because it was so weird.

I don't think that people can see what's going to happen.

The most I have is Deja-vu. I have it every once and a while but I've noticed that when I greatly throw off my sleeping patterns I have it more often. It's weird because the level of detail varies so much. Sometimes I can see the entire surroundings as well as knowing what someone is going to say to knowing what I'm going to say before I even think about saying it. Like a conversation I'm having with a person is already written down like a script and I say what's already written. It's weird.

One time my family and another family were going out to dinner. The guys rode in their car and the girls in our car. I sat down in their truck and looked up at the visor and noticed the airbag warning sign. I then thought to myself, "I wonder what it'd be like to get in a car accident."

20 minutes later we're on our way and a guy on the other side of the road swerves into our lane and our driver swerves away onto the sidewalk and we run over quite a few signs and total the truck.

Weird stuff like this happens, so who knows what it is. A higher being, could it be God? Are we all slightly psychic?

I also notice that when I'm lacking sleep I have many many deja vu's.

How many times have you ever thought stuff like that, and then nothing happened?

You probably just remembered thinking that because you got into an accident that one time.

I used to get that all the time, except it'd be with any old station and would even happen when I wasn't listening to the radio at the time.  Thinking of a song and 5-10 mins later I'd hear it on the radio somehow...walk into a shop, passing car etc

That and the streetlight thing, whenever I'd walk near a certain street light it'd always go off no matter the time of night.  Happened at quite a few places I lived, not just one.

Exactly. So this whole "seeing the future" kind of thing isn't exactly believable or real, just entirely coincidental, IMO.

Ok, what I am talking about is two instances in my life ( I am 38 ).  I have never thought that a dream might be real in my life except those two instances and I have never predicted anything like some crack pot.

Nobody can see the future, nobody can remote view anything.

Deja Vu occurs when the part of your brain that decides whether it has witnessed something before goes wrong for a bit and starts telling you everything you witness has been seen before. Nothing miraculous I'm afraid. A biological hicup.

As far as dreams coming true goes, in your life you will have tens of thousands of dreams and a silly number of events will occur during your life. The chances of a dream relating to an event by coincidence is very high. Just keep reminding yourself of the simply vast number of dreams that didn't predict the future.

Happens occasionally. Once, twice in one day. The first time was scary - I remembered randomly a scene in a Geography film I had to watch a while back. Later that day in Geography, we had to watch the exact same film starting at that exact scene.

self-rationalization is a human tendancy. For example, if someone thinks "boy it sure feels like rain today" and it subsequently rain...well it must be precognitive abilities.

since it's story telling time, my mums told me a story about when I was a kid, involving precog. My mom had found something on the ground when we were camping, and came over to surprise me with her finding. Before she showed me, she asked can I guess what's in her hand, and my reply was "uhhhmmm a pink moose?" Her face was if she had seen a ghost, because she pulled her hand from behind her back and revealed a pink plastic moose.

does this mean I can see the future? Doubtful. Chances are I saw the moose sometime on the trip and didn't register or care to notice at the moment. It's a cool coincidence, but nothing more.... to me.

I never said I did and I don't in the sense that people can see the future or have any amount of control over their ability (it would be simple to prove if you did and there would be no guesswork/interputation BS ).

I do think that people may have a sense that has yet to be known that allows them to perceive certain things subconciously.  For instance I may have somehow knew there was an earthquake when it happened in the same way animals sometimes act crazy before an earthquake and this allowed me to dream about earthquakes, maybe just coincedence that it happened offshore or maybe I knew it was occuring west of me and it influenced my dreams.  Or maybe it was as simple as I was sleeping and actually did feel the bed shaking and dreamt of earthquakes.

As far as waking up and knowing there was money in my driveway because I dreamt of it, maybe it was dropped the night before and while I was asleep that morning I heard my dad say he lost some money and in my dreams I somehow deduced that he would have dropped it getting out of his vehicle.  But I do tell you that when I woke up I knew that money was there and I immediately went and got it.  This has never happened sense before then or sense them.

I am not an idiot that runs around believing in stuff like this, ghosts, aliens, religion....  I just know of my two instances and I am sure there is an explanation, it is just that possibility that it could be tied to something yet unknown like a sixth sense.  Our brains are very powerful and not understood fully.  I know that I can get a sense that something is wrong while conciously not knowing of anything wrong and then the next thing you know something bad starts happening that you were picking up on earlier than you should have been able too (like someone is staring at you).  The extra sense could be as simple as an ability to hear at high pitches or at lower noise level subconciously, the sense of smell being more developed than thought but is only accessed by subconcious, sense of feel or vibrations or ion levels  being accute to a part of the brain that can't be accessed voluntarily or conciously by us.  Hell, our brain runs billions of functions in our body every second to keep us alive and it does it without us knowning anything about it. Who knows, but I do think something is up.  I was just wondering if anyone else had experiences like mine ( for real, just not people wanting to have so sort ESP ) and how common it is.  It appears not too common.
