how do you think humans have survived without hunting?Magpie wrote:

how you can get that to "how do you think humans have survived without hunting" is beyond me
Not at all, but if you miss with that "arrow" and hit the turkey anywhere else you can be sure that you wont kill the animal just hurt it badly. If you hunt you have to make sure that the animal you put down goes down quickly , and then that you acctualy eat up what you hunt.Eye-GiZzLe wrote:

Quick decapitation is the least painful way to die, besides being shot in the neck.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

It's exactly the same. Infact it's worse, I'd imagine you'd cause alot of pain and suffering if you hit the bird anywhere but the neck for a decapitation.
can you imagine one of those hitting a bird in the body? that wouldnt be quick... That would be incredibly messy and painfull.Poseidon wrote:

...considering it snaps the bird's neck right off. The reason it's still moving is because nerve signals are still being sent down the spinal cord.
I'm not talking about that.Poseidon wrote:

I don't know it depends, if the velocity of the arrow is the same as with a regular arrow it would be more painful but alot quicker. OF course if it was a lower volocity then it wouldn't penetrate as far and as you said it may well be slower and more painful, though it may open enough blood vessels to kill it quickly anyway.presidentsheep wrote:

it might still be an arrow but the area to aim for is much bigger since you have the decapitation blades extruding like 3 inches to the side of the arrow. this means that it might be messy if you hit it in the body, but the chance of hitting in the wrong spot is incredibly small unless the animal is moving or you are a complete idiot and use the arrow in a wrong way (different munitions for different hunting scenarios, it's exactly the same with buckshot and slugs for shotgun, they are used for different scenarious.)Mek-Stizzle wrote:
You're saying this is more humane than using arrows and shit. But, it's the same thing. Both require you to shoot a specific part of the body for a humane kill. Both inflict unnecessary suffering if you miss said vital area. It's literally no different than using arrows and aiming for the head and destroying the brain.

As far as i see it its all death no matter how horrific or inhumane it is. Death is a part of life.
