I dunno, I like having microphones on consoles, regardless of the kids. They'll be more implemented in games as time goes on (as seen with EndWar) You get them even more on PC games, I've begun to realize. Some 360 games have text chat. In fact, they have this really convenient add-on now for the 360 called the messenger kit.

I've tried it, and it's really easy to get used to and it's a LOT better than having to plug in some bulky keyboard. I hope the PS3 comes out with something like it in case I for some reason get MGS4.
I like mics on pc games, we laugh whenever theres a little kid playing PC games, but I go to a friend's and play halo and the whole server's full of them.

and that little keyboard is awesome, what games support it though?

That little keyboard IS awesome, I've got one, saves loads of time typing stuff out. I use it mainly for PMs though. Never tried it on a game.

EDIT: You can change like clan tags, weapon classes etc stuff like that on any game.

That and being able to play Motorstorm were pretty much the reasons I got mine. I mean, again, I still like my 360 more, but I love that Blu-Ray drive.

So what games do you guys think I should get then for when I get a sparkly new PS3?

Here is my list so far:
- GTA IV (possibility)
- Killzone 2 WANT
- MGS 4 lol
- Motorstorm says Poseidon
- LEGO Indy GOGOGOGO

Might get that old F1 game too to get in the spirit before Codemasters release their F1 game next year

I agree. That has to be the biggest flaw in what Microsoft did in trying to make the 360 cheap, loose one of the major benefits of what a next console should have, LOTS MORE STUFF ON DISC.

Imagine GTA4 being exclusive to PS3. R* would go all fucking out and create the biggest city ever seen in the gaming world!!!! But GJ Microshit in making it all fit on a DVD and reduce the size and extra features
