Can someone please tell me how to display system properties in a linux UI?

Or the command that I can type within the terminal to display the system properties?

Ram, cpu speed. The general stuff you would see when running dxdiag in XP.

I think some of that is in the file '/proc/cpuinfo', '/proc/meminfo', etc...

So, use 'less /proc/cpuinfo'.

On a side note, there is also linux.google.com for linux-related web searches. I used to find it nice to have when the office linux guru wasn't around.
