That let's me feed audio from one source to another in my pc without using a Mic.
just change the record source in your target program to "what I hear"
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
How?
Click Volume (the doovah for changin yer speakerloud)
Go Options > Properties.
Choose Recording, OK.
Select "What U Hear" or "Wave Out".
Go Options > Properties.
Choose Recording, OK.
Select "What U Hear" or "Wave Out".

AH! Found it - in XP, almost as cheez said, except it's:
Click Volume Control icon.
Options->Properties...
Select Recording AND ensure Stereo Mix is checked.
OK...
Then under check Select under the Stereo Mix volume control.
I think. (works for me, recording with windows sound recorder and playing from windows media player, that is)

Card specific in some cases (Realtek has a weird option to choose which adapter to use instead of changing to Recording "view").Scorpion0x17 wrote:

Irregardless, most recording programs have Source somewhere (Audacity's is up top for example).
Irregardless is a word, right?
Edit: And yes, tick that shit.

What i'm trying to do is be able to play music in t2 without using my mic so i dont disturb anyone thats sleeping.
Hmm... What I suggested might work, but the music would only play when you had your mic 'open' in-game.David.P wrote:

Otherwise, if you just want to listen to music, rather than broadcast it to other players, just play it on media player whilst you're playing the game, and use headphones (but you would have thought of doing that, if that's what you wanted, wouldn't you?)
it's a Creative card thing I think. what you want is wave out.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Thx and No shit to the second option.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

hmmmn.... Surprised that didn' work.... sorry, guess you will have to track down a third-party app/util to do it....
David, clarify what you want to do. By not using your mic, I assume you mean not playing it over speakers and just holding down the mic button to pick up what your speakers put out.
You've been told twice, maybe three times, in this thread how to do exactly that through software. Now, if you're issue is unresolved, I have to ask what the hell are you trying to do as I'm at a loss to help.
And Cheez, irregardless is a word (albeit debated) but in your context regardless works fine.
