And he's the owner of Fox News...

Obama's certainly not perfect. No politician is. But ANYTHING is better than a Bush clone (yet more decrepit).

I agree with him here:

The founder -- and defender -- of Fox News said he expected Obama to win in a landslide, citing widespread unhappiness with the current administration and his disenchantment with Republican contender John McCain. Murdoch added that after a long career in the Senate, McCain had been forced to compromise too much and doesn’t stand for much.

Interesting.

I'm ok with it.

Really Obama or McCain would be a big improvement over Bush, Gore or Kerry, so look at the bright side, better choices now than we have had for years

If Rupert Murdoch wants Obama to win he's certainly in a position to substantially help that along.

Should be a good example that all this "right wing nutjob" bullshit on here is just that...bullshit. Proof that rich, conservative, people aren't the mindless zombies many of the lefties here would like us to believe.

I don't think Murdoch wants Obama to win. If ever there was a mindless right wing nutjob, it's Rupert Murdoch.

Seems like he does:

linked article wrote:

Murdoch even nonchalantly owned up to influencing the New York Post to back Obama in the New York primary.

During the Q&A, I pressed Murdoch -- a new U.S. citizen -- on whether he would actually vote for Obama in November. He said he was leaning toward it, but would know in the next six months.

Murdoch is a purely self-interested opportunist: he will back the predicted winner in order to win favour and ingratiate himself with the new power brokers. He did it in England and he'll do it in the US too. People like Murdoch are as influential and powerful as politicians, more so perhaps. He is just building his nest for a new regime.

Would you say the same thing if he was a known liberal?

Yes. I would view him in a similar light to the likes of George Soros.

No, I mean, if we pull out...there is a good chance that we could get attacked again on our soil. You never know.

The right time to pull out is when the Iraqi army and government can confidently stand on its own.

He has a point that by leaving Iraq in shambles there is a good chance the soldiers we trained and left for dead will probably still hold a grudge and would end up with the choices of "join or die" involving terror groups.
