It's quite different when a person speaks his opinion on an obscure web forum, as opposed to International Press.

I remember seeing some magazine.. can't remember which where a written news tidbit was "Brad Pitt was seen driving with a button up white shirt on'

THAT WAS IT.  No picture.. THAT was the item supposedly worth printing.

Celebrity fetishism is terrible in America.

Plus, Sharon Stone is washed up.  Nothing like a little controversy to put her back in that lost spotlight.

So you are under the delusion that I'm a Hollywood star?

That's cute.

Yeah.  You can choose not to post on a web forum.

Yeah.  You can choose not to post on a web forum.
And Hollywood stars can choose not to spout nonsense every time a microphone gets stuck in their face.

And as to your point: pot. kettle. black.

But what they say is reported on, no matter how casually they make the remark.  You're essentially criticising her for having an opinion.

You parroted my remark?  I say parroted because I didn't criticise you for posting on a web forum, so it wasn't turning it around on me, and it certainly wasn't clever.

Its just a typical Hollywood "blond" statement. "China had the earthquake due to the suppression of the Tibet people."
Now thousands of innocent people died of that quake and she ties it with the "Tibet" issue.
Ive seen the issue on the Dutch television all the movies she plays in are Auto banned in china, serves her right.

"Bad" Karma... there is no bad Karma, only Karma.  It is what it is.  Karma doesn't work as a "punishment", it is simply the result of any action.  Suppressing Tibet did not, under any belief system of Buddhism or Hinduism, cause the earthquake.  Karma just doesn't work that way.

Fucking ignorant celebs who think Karma is like a balanced scale of morality... "He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sakes!"

Agreed it's fucking ridiculous. Back last year when Gerald Ford died around the same time as Anna Nicole Smith... I think that fat whale got way more news coverage than a fucking President.

I think it also worth adding here since you started picking on her movies that she played Steven Seagals wife in his debut Nico that pretty much gives here the right to say anything imo.

Despite that don´t blame her blame bias media.

She has the right to say anything because the US allows it... and by that, we're allowed to criticize her for it

News is a business like the rest. They cover stories they know will get attention. Just like they rather talk about Brad and Ang's new kids rather then the people dieing in the war.

Would you take note if the article in question was about the opinions of a hairdresser named Jenit from Missouri...or even Tom Cruise? People put too much stock on what celebrities think.

I didn't call you delusional. I asked if you were operating under the delusion that I was a Hollywood star. You did make the "pot calling the kettle black" comment, which--if used in its proper context--would imply that you think I can't criticize a Hollywood star for having an opinion as I'm in the same situation...a Hollywood star with an opinion.

The bottomline is that they all know their remarks will be shown worldwide. Hell, I believe she was even talking to Chinese media! Typical Hollywood elitist--they think because they're famous, their political opinion is worth something and should be shared with the world...regardless of the absurdity of said opinion.

I wasn't saying she's not entitled to her opinion. She certainly is. And she's also entitled to the blowback (or is it karma) that she's receiving for her opinion. But her opinion in this case was typical of what most Hollywood stars spew regularly: ill-thought, ill-spoken, and then surprised that people wonder what color the sky is on her world.
