Heres what you do to make your OWN free iPhone ringtones with songs you already have.

So this is how I do it, but you can change a few things for your likings (example: instead of copy paste, find original song in a folder)

GodFather wrote:

First open up iTunes

Then highlight the song you want, and CTRL+C the song, now go to a folder where you will keep the ringers (use a desktop or w.e if you automatically copy the imported songs to another folder like I do)

Right click the file, and click Open With...

Open it with Audacity (Audacity is a free audio editing program found here... http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ )

Now, find the chunk of song you want, and cut it out (I just delete the part I dont want, Highlight, DEL - - - Note, if you cant delete, make sure that you click the STOP square/button on the top, until you do that you cant edit anything)

Now, click File > Export as .mp3

Put it in your folder

Drag the new .mp3 into iTunes

Right click the new song clip on iTunes and click, "Convert Selection to AAC"

Delete the old audioclip (the one on top)

Now drag the NEW NEW sound clip into your folder, and delete the other

(You can do this earlier if you like \/ )

Now get into Control Panel (Easy way is WINKEY+R    type, "Control" without quotes and hit enter)

Go to Folder Options, and click the VIEW tab

Now de-select, "Hide extensions for known file types"

Now Rename your song extension from INSERTSONGNAMEHERE.mp4  to INSERTSONGNAMEHERE.m4r

Now drag and drop INSERTSONGNAMEHERE.m4r into your "Ringtones" folder in the upper left, you CAN NOT put it in your main library
Now, this seems lengthy and complicated, but I can do it in about 2 minutes, once you know what your doing its cake.

Edit: Quoted process for ease of reading

Enjoy free ringtones

That sounds complicated. I can just copy an MP3 to my mobile phone with windows explorer to use it as a ringtone. <3 SE
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

All your doing is cutting a song out, making it mp4, and then changing it to .m4r and importing it....

Just sounds complicated because i detailed each step
