I don't generally use bad language in games, BUT how come I get kicked out of servers if I do swear. I mean its perfectly okay for the violence of blowing someone up, or shooting them in the head, but if i say @$$ all H e double L breaks loose, can someone explain? lol
Some people set their servers up that way... it's their server, their rules. Nothing you can do about it.
Agree. Some people are so retarded they can't understand that. Just a bunch of computer geeks who feel a sense of power for kicking someone I guess.dsenart wrote:

well, double edged sword theory right?
we host a server Spc/KORT.
now in any game servre we have hosted we put up simple rules such as the no cussing rule.
why is that you ask there in the back row?
mainly it is the fact that most of our members have children that like to play with us and as a parent they dont want to go around letting their kid read lines like:"***** *** you ******** piece of **** ****rag."
and i repeat, we had these rules on all our game servers(from PG to R type games).
now with BF2 we have the option of giving the server a list of words we do not want to be used on the server and from there it takes care of it automatically.
i wont say we are lenient with it, but you get 5 total warnings before a kick takes place that lasts for about 5 minutes.
personally i don't have a problem with someone dropping a cuss once in a while, i do it too at the high or depth of my game, but to tell you the truth im not on there to listen to some 12 year old child use a wider variety of curse words then a battlecruiser full of sailors.
to your point of blowing people up and all that being okay but cursing isnt, all i can say is we live in a hypocritical world where simulated violence is kay as long as nobody goes around singing profanities.
i dont agree, but hey, im just yer average joe, who gives a crud about our opinions.

i remeber saying "YOU GUYS ARE SWARMING LIKE "COCKROCHES" SPAWN IN THE OTHER BASES" then the server said that is unacceptable language i never ment cockroches as a racist term before..... I never did
