Tragic.
Just another religious extremist nut job interpreting and abusing a fictitious writing in order o justify his sadistic tendencies.
And just ftr, I don't think this necessarily reflects on the billion or so muslims in the world who don't generally beat little kids to death.
Yeah, I wish everyone would stop saying Islam is a disease. The only reason is because the western world doesn't have that many muslims as opposed to Christians. I personally don't like the three dogmas of the desert, but I have toleration for them. I don't hate Christianity or Islam, but I hate the fundamentalists.
It took one man to make the USA a secular nation, Benjamin Franklin, actually. There would likely be no successful referendum to make the nation secular, with seperation from, hypothetically "Mosque and State." It would take one enlightened fellow.

US propaganda to fuel your hatred of anything without a McDonalds next to it and keep you wacking off over pictures of bush and the twin towers.
They will feed you this crap till you blow up the entire planet.
Grow up America, get yourself a passport and visit these places. Get an informed opinion.

You're an asshole, and if you were informed...you would know that a fair amount of Americans have been there.fo0k wrote:

No seriously... he's right... at least when it comes Abrahamic religions.Stingray24 wrote:

Fucking nutjobs thinking they know what the interpretations are of their religion. It's always the guys who think they know best that do shit like this.
Lotta_Drool: The media makes money off of shit like this, so they report it more often. It's all about what's new, what the trend is, etc. Don't kind yourself into thinking any news station is there to just give us the truth. They're there to tell us what we want to hear.
That is not to say this story is false or anything. I am sick of hearing about nutjobs like this, and wish some of the rigid middle eastern countries would loosen up a bit (lack of a better word here - it's 4:00AM here). It's sickening, but by no means unique. It's just when people think that they know better than the god they follow that things get out of hand.

The reason it's covered is because it's shocking. It's exactly the kind of crap all news stations like to report.Poseidon wrote:
If you seriously can't see how or why Fox News would highlight this story, there's no hope for you.Lotta_Drool wrote:
Yeah, I have never seen CNN, ABC, or NBC report news either. I fail to see your point, news is news and they all report the same shit.
Look at how violent the Catholic Church and Protestantism were back when they were more orthodox. Look at how violent the fundamentalists of Islam are. Look at how militant certain orthodox Jews can be. All of these groups tend to take their scriptures more literally than more peaceful sects of religious people.Stingray24 wrote:

Which explains why Muslims are looking into it..............Lotta_Drool wrote:

I noticed that the three dogmas of the desert tend to be more violent than other religions, IE Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca.
thats very true. Every time something like this gets posted, religion gets 100% of the blame. Makes me think, if some of the people here were in a jury and a Muslim who committed a crime blamed it on Islam, would you find him guilty? After all its not his fault he was borne in to a violent and intolerant religion...m3thod wrote:

Exactly, the vast majority of people mentioned in the story, presumably Muslims, are outraged or saddened at what happened, presumably therefore if Drool thinks Islam is a mental disorder, he must think theat the majority of Muslims are wrong, hence Drool must be implyng that he supports killing children.ZombieVampire! wrote:

Pretty much. Just another attempt to classify Islam as fucked up because of the nutters in it.FatherTed wrote:
This isn't a case of the religion being fubar, but more of the mental state of that teacher.
I still think that particular religion is fubar though. Well, maybe not as bad as fubar, but still sucky.
*sigh* As if any other politically-oriented news services doesn't. I wish we could have an end to this.Poseidon wrote:
I just find it funny how Fox News always tends to highlight stuff like this. I'm not saying it's a big deal, but you have to wonder why? It's even highlighted in blue on foxnews.com so it stands out.
