Videocard is acting crap

Whenever I watch a video in WMV as on GameTrailers, I can watch it for about 6 minutes, then the videoscreen gets fucked up cuz it gets green lines and my mouse cursor is almost gone. I've tested it with my XFX card, same problem, done it with my eVGA card, same, in SLI, same.

Are my cards damaged, cuz I orderd 2 waterblocks for them and if they are damaged, I'm gonna buy a 1 new card because Step-up from eVGA expired.

Help is appreciated.

Do you have them overclocked? Is it possible that you have them overclocked too high and it is not stable, and thus is giving you artifacts?

In games I have no problems, when watching in Divx no problem. Yes I overclocked them to the maximum point where I get artifacts but I clocked them down 10Mhz afterwards so that I didn't get any artifacts.

There could be your problem, they might have gotten some dust or something since then causing them to get hotter than they were before, making your overclocks unstable. Try downclocking them again about 50mhz and see if it happens.

I'm running them stock now, problem is still here. Is it possible I damaged them into a state during OCing where it is perm. damaged?

It is possible if they got too hot.

If they are still under warranty, why would you not send them back, and instead buy a new one? That seems ridiculous to me. You get 2 new cards for free, the only downside is you have to wait a little bit, otherwise you would be paying for a new one.

I didnt monitored/logged my temps as they were running 3d06 during an OC but I did put the fan to 100% everytime I went into 3d06 or a game when it was OCed.

Is it that hard to try what jamiet suggested? You just move couple sliders.

Well if games run fine but the WMP movies don't, it's probably not a hardware issue. Try reinstalling (a)video card drivers, (b)Windows Media Player, (c)codecs, and (d)maybe even your browser (you said videos mess up when you stream them from online). Hopefully one of those will fix it.
