they can take almost any type of carerra/boxster and modify it into a electric car that can get over 500+ mile/charge rate.
I saw this in dupont and it claims some of the models can get upwards of 1000 lbs/torque

And you might be going, "well fuck i dont have the money for a new porsche and a electric motor and blah blah" thinking its hundreds of thousands.
They have some older models starting at 48,000! (w/o the generator)

I first thought all electric cars were plain stupid looking and very slow. But this is much different.

I just wanted to share this because i thought it was pretty cool. I want one.

Cars above may be converted using new High Energy cell technology.  Up charge  depending on KW hours requested.

16KWH - 225 lbs. with  75 mile range per charge............................................................................................$16,000

32KWH - 445 lbs. with 120-150 mile range.....................................................................................................$26,000

64KWH - 890 lbs.  capable of over 300 mile range...........................................................................................$49,000

The problem is that you can only charge the batteries at home. They need to develop better recharge stations, and place them at all service stations before anyone will take the electric car seriously, unfortunately.

Porsche + 500lb battery pack + added weight of rest of electronics kinda looses its magic.

Sure they can do 500mi, and 1000 ft/lbs of torque....but I highly doubt those two at the same time.


I think after everything is said and done you have a Porsche ruined by a ton of weight it wasn't designed to carry and generally slow acceleration if you don't want to dump the full contents of the battery in 5 minutes.

Sure you could likely adjust it pretty easily on the fly between power and milage, but how much are you gonna save on gas, and how much of that goes to new battery packs, disposal of old ones, running generators, huge electric bils, ect....

Is it really gonna be greater then the cost of the labor and parts needed for the conversion?

They also can run on fuel, getting 100mpg

Who cares when you have that great of mileage to cruise around town. It also runs on natural gas/ gasoline if needed

Reliability was also a question for me though.
