I'm in need of a new case; I have narrowed it down to the Thermaltake Armor or the Coolermaster Cosmos. Which should I go for?

Thermaltake Armor looks better imo.
both have been rated very well, although i haven't had first hand experience with either.

Lian-Li G70b, failing that the Armor.
Seriously though, why are both of those cases around 35 pounds? That's absurd...my Lian-Li that's comparable in size is less than 20 pounds.

I just built a pc for the parents with the armor and I ended up with the cosmos. You really can't go wrong with either one. I really liked working with the cosmos. It also runs almost silent. The only bad thing is its heavy as hell so if you are going to be moving it around that will really suck. I personnally am glad I went with the cosmos but really you could flip a coin on this one and end up with a good case IMO.

Armor owner reporting in. To be fair though, both are good cases
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
CoolerMaster Cosmos S.
sexytbh. Plus, I'm getting it to replace my incredibly overhyped and overrated Antec Nine Hundred in november/december.

Cosmos, it's heavy though.
Personally I'd go with the Armor, I like the looks more and I've had the odd one or 2 people say the Cosmos' cooling isn't exactly impressive considering it's pricetag.
And why are people discussing the weight? It sits on the floor ffs

Ye well some people move our cases a lot and if doesn't have wheels and is heavy you can ruin the floor.TheEternalPessimist wrote:

I can't see an obvious reason for having to move your PC a lot, short of it breaking every 5 mins and having to pull it out for repairs.
It's made the same way as our Stackers. Empty it was not light but when you put everything inside it gets quite heavy + the Cosmos and the Stacker arent the smallest cases on the market..Sup wrote:
Its alu isn't it? But yeah ours is alu too and its heavy like a camel._NL_Lt.EngineerFox wrote:

I'm really thankful for the wheels on my Stacker. That thing is really heavy when it's loaded with 8HDs and assorted goodies_NL_Lt.EngineerFox wrote:

It's steel. Aluminum would of increased it's cost too much, tis also why it is a heavy fucker..Sup wrote:

I had the Cosmos and hated it, too big and I had some major cooling problems. Cut my losses, went for the mid tower armour suit (which does it a dis service as its about as big as most full towers) and I couldnt be happier with it.

Doesn't the Cosmos S have a huge 250mm fan on it's side panel?Bell wrote:

Something like that. I wouldnt know, it was the Cosmos I had with the foam for noise dampening. Cosmos S I think dropped the foam and silence for better cooling (which it needed), but costs a premium for the privilege._NL_Lt.EngineerFox wrote:
