Okay first off I'd like to clarify that I DID buy the game. I could produce pix if needed. So no closey-closey, plz mods.

K I got X2: The Threat quite a while ago and decided to play it again, only to find no play disc, only the install one

So I downloaded Alcohol 120% to try and mount an image to use instead of the play disc, but this is my first time using it. I would like a retards step-by-step guide into the art of image mounting.

Is there a reason to use Alcohol 120%?

I use Daemon Tools with the right-click context menu add-on.  All you have to do is right click on an image file, and tell it to mount.

There is no guide really.  Right click on icon(task bar), mount your iso image....cd starts.  That's it.

Get Daemon Tools.  Install it.

Get awxDTools for V4 - 32bit-version, to get the right click menu for Daemon Tools and CD images.  You need to scroll down on that page to find it.  Install it.

Right click on the image, mount to whichever virtual drive you want.

Where ever you saved it.  It seems like you do not have the image saved on your computer....or something.  An iso image is simply a cd saved on your pc.  It has all the necessary .exe files on it.  etc., etc., etc.  Make sense?

So if I can't find an .iso in the X2 folder what do I do?

In order to have an Iso to mount, you need to either create one using Alcohol 120%, or have one from another source.  Alcohol 120% works very similar to dameon tools in the mounting arena, but beyond the Alcohol has ALOT more features, such as creating images of all types of discs, proper burning, and the like, where dameon is good for nothing but mounting.

Lacking an iso, I suggest you visit gamecopyworld.com

The site is completely legit if you own the the game, and they should have a no-cd patch or a mini-image availiable.
