So I found out tonight I have a food allergy. I took about two sips of soy chocolate milk, and then a few minutes later my palms got insanely itchy. Then I got itchy all over. Then my throat got a little sore and uncomfortable. It kept getting worse and now it's swollen and I can't swallow very well. My lips are itchy, too. Why can't I be itchy in a normal place, like my arm, head or anus? No, it's got to be weird places like my palms and lips. Benedryl to my rescue.

Go to the hospital. They will give you a steroid shot and benedryl tablets.
Hmm the only allergies I know of are latex for me, and maybe some of these seasonal allergies, i think im starting to develop them, but no allergies to food. Sucks for you, if you were me you wouldn't have to worry about it because i never drink milk, hate the stuff. I assume its the soy you are allergic to? Milk allergy would be horrible

yeah i am not allergic to milk or milk products, it must be the soy. it's funny, my girlfriend got me the soy chocolate milk because regular chocolate milk always gives me a stomach ache. she got this to try and it's got an even worse side effect. i am not meant to have chocolate milk. but it is so delicious.Mutantsteak wrote:

Lactose intolerance and Allergies, thats funny, milk is terrible though I can't stand it. I had lactose intolerance at one point but eating so much cheese i might have developed a tolerance. OH and tell your girlfriend thanks a lotcablecopulate wrote:

it's not really lactose intolerance, i have milk all the time (cereal for the win!). there's just something about chocolate milk that doesn't sit well. i think it's the chocolate and milk. i really don't know, but if i have regular milk i have no issues.
