Hey guys I have always had this problem but its never really anoyed me till recently when I got my blu ray player.

Back when I lived in the UK, I was used to whenever I turned on a component, say, SKY, DVD etc, the TV would automatically switch to that components socket, say Ext 1 or 2, you get the idea.  But it doesnt seem to be the same for any of my HD stuff.  I need to get the remote and cycle through the inputs untill I find the source I am looking for, which, to be fair isnt the end of the world but when you are used to it being automatic, having to do it manual is a tad anoying.  Specifically since I need to press it five times to get to the input I am after (HDMI 3).

Am I missing something or is it just like that with HDMI?   Thanks

Not sure, but my TV and Receiver both require me to switch inputs when turning on other sources; they don't automatically switch. With that said, none of my inputs on my TV cause my tv to automatically switch when a new source is turned on.

It really depends on the TV and/or HDMI switch.
